“For there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it. If only we're brave enough to be it”
Change is tough; but so are you! You also know yourself better than anyone else. YOU get to decide what changes you want to make and what that might look like. I would be honored to support you through that process and help you wherever you are at in your life. I truly appreciate the strength that it takes to seek help. I feel extremely privileged to have found my passion and for the opportunity to provide assistance along your journey.
Since I was a young girl, I knew that I wanted to help others. I have always been an empathetic listener and can imagine what someone else might be feeling. As an adult, I have learned how very challenging life can be and that we all could benefit from some help!
After starting college at the State University of New York at Albany, I quickly realized that the degree that I wished to pursue was in Clinical Social Work. I received my Bachelors degree and decided my next move was to get some real life experience. I accepted a position working with people with severe and persistent mental health issues and it was confirmed - I had found the right helping profession for me. To advance my career, I attended Rutgers University to complete my Masters in Social Work and specialized my studies in addictions.
My experience has been quite well rounded. I have worked in many different settings with people of varying ages, severity of symptoms, backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, ethnicities, and belief systems. I specialize in treating people with anxiety, depression and substance use disorders. I have genuinely enjoyed working with such a wide range of people and am very excited to continue this work. I welcome the opportunity to provide support to anyone who is open to it! I find helping young adults learn to manage a difficult or new chapter of life to be particularly rewarding.
When I’m not working, I love to spend time outdoors (especially near water!), traveling, eating delicious food, and spending time with my family and friends.
